Michigan Energy Savings (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates michiganenergysave.com (the “Site”). We help Michigan homeowners request free solar savings estimates and connect them with solar installation and financing providers.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or submitting a form, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

When you request an estimate, we collect the information you enter, which may include:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• Your property address
• Your average monthly electric bill range and electricity provider
• Whether you own your home
• Any other details you choose to share with us

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our technology partners may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the ad or website that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected using cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see Section 6).

3. How We Use Your Information

• To prepare and deliver your solar savings estimate
• To contact you by phone, text message or email about your estimate and related solar products and services
• To match you with solar installation and financing providers who serve your area
• To measure and improve our advertising, including on Facebook and Instagram

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only as described below:

• Solar and financing partners. To provide your estimate, we share the information you submit with one or more solar installation companies, and where relevant financing providers, that serve your area. These partners may contact you directly and will handle your information under their own privacy policies.
• Service providers. We use vendors who help us run our business, such as website hosting, customer relationship management (CRM), email and text messaging, and analytics providers. They may only use your information to perform services for us.
• Advertising partners. We use tools from partners such as Meta Platforms, Inc. to measure ad performance and show relevant ads (see Section 6).
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users or others.
• Business transfers. If our business is sold, merged or reorganized, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Calls, Text Messages and Email

When you submit a form on the Site and check the consent box, you agree that Michigan Energy Savings and its solar partners may contact you at the phone number and email address you provide, including by calls and text messages, about your solar estimate. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

You can opt out at any time:

• Reply STOP to any text message
• Click “unsubscribe” in any marketing email
• Tell the caller you no longer wish to be contacted, or email us at info@michiganenergysave.com

Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes, except with the solar partners who will provide your estimate.

6. Cookies, the Meta Pixel and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the Site work, understand how visitors use it, and measure our advertising. This includes the Meta Pixel, which lets Meta and us see actions taken on the Site after someone views or clicks a Facebook or Instagram ad (for example, submitting a form). Meta may use this information under its own Privacy Policy.

You can manage how ads are shown to you through your Facebook Ad Preferences, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the Site may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide your estimate, maintain records of your consent, meet our legal obligations and resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No website or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Ask us to delete your information
• Opt out of marketing calls, texts and emails

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

The Site is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
